Dr. Andrea Andersen
Dr. Andersen was born in Guelph, Canada and raised in Toronto, Canada. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Biological Sciences in 2004 and with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She has worked at the Garden District Animal Hospital, under Dr. Thomas C. Stuckey Jr., since she was 19 years old. In 2011, after graduating from vet school and enjoying several years of mentorship, she bought the clinic from Dr. Stuckey.
Dr. Andersen is married to Daniel, and has one son, Haydn (a.k.a. “Moose”). She loves to travel, especially to visit friends and family. She also likes spending time with her husband and son watching movies and riding bikes. Dr. Andersen has a Mastiff named Bruce that is a rescue, and 3 French bulldogs: Ibby, Lilabet, and Wall-E. She also has a chameleon, Blondie, and a fish, Water.
